Yesterday, Scavolini USA opened up its first U.S. flagship store housed in what was the former Nancy Hoffman art gallery. Now, as someone who is a big fan of cooking and kitchens, I found my dream kitchen here in this lofty space.
If you don't know Scavolini, you should. The Italy-based company has been known for its sleek and designer modular kitchens for almost 50 years (the company's 50th anniversary is next year). Work ranges from residential to commercial, big to small kitchens, and transitional to traditional styles.
Here's a peak at what's inside the 10,000 square-foot store:
Yummy Italian nibbles set above the Karim Rashid-designed Crystal Kitchen concept. Rashid's graphic patterns come alive through glass doors.
A blue finish gives this kitchen a modern look. Love the face wallpaper!
Color in kitchen situations. I'm all for it. And red happens to be Scavolini's signature color. What was really a standout? This cool-looking island with a sink and extra counter space. Now only if I could fit this in my New York apartment. Wishful thinking!
