It's the last day of HD Expo. Here are a few of my favorite things from the show floor. -Tara.
Montague's booth, designed by Mike Suomi. And the collection also designed by Mike. An interesting mix of indigenous woods, showcased with imperfections, contrasting lacquered finishes; modular pieces that can fit together to better use space, and details, like the blue leather headboard, made with Moore & Giles leather, that beg to be touched.
Dedon's new outdoor leather (yes, like real leather, that can take the rain…super cool) in this buttery yellow. Also new from Dedon were some pieces at much lower price points than you typically expect from them…definitely worth a look.
Interface Hospitality had not only these amazing designs, but each carpet tile is made from 100% recycled content.
The boys at Tiger Imports/Appian Textiles have branched out to these pretty sweet outdoor rugs.
And I won't talk about what I had to do to get this shot at this angle at the Global Allies booth, but well worth it for one of their new introductions.
WATG built out another one of their winning concepts this year, with MOSAIC, last year's Radical Innovation in Hospitality award winner. If you're still here today, definitely worth a walk-thru.
Loved the way Currey and Company displayed their lighting in this huge gold tree.
My favorite booth display had to be first time exhibitor Marshall Quentin. Especially since it's been an unseasonably chilly week here in Vegas, the fresh cabana vibe was a welcoming little oasis.
Best signage goes to Dos Caminos (yes I know not on the show floor, but a gal's gotta have fish tacos) for their cheeky restroom sign.
Other highlights this week for me have included a debate with a woman on the Venetian taxi line about the coming judgement day; learning the real rules of BlackJack; seeing the family Nyman; a Patricia Green Pinot Noir that I'm still dreaming about; an enlightening political debate at Party by the Pool; and of course Green Day. Thanks to all my speakers, attendees, and Interface Hospitality for sponsoring. Kudos to all.
