Stay Well

Posted by on October 11, 2012 in Trends | 1 comment

As our lives get busier, wellness seems to be at the top of everyone’s mind. And the industry is responding, especially thanks to an aging and traveling Baby Boomer generation.

Hotels are renovating their spas to make them bigger and better, less an afterthought and more of a destination. Beyond relaxation, treatments are becoming more medically and preventative focused (check out the new ESPA Life concept). IHG has launched Even Hotels, a brand that is set to prove that you can travel healthy.

For these and many other reasons, we are focusing on spas, wellness, healthcare, and senior living in our December issue. We plan to look at each of these sectors, and showcase hopefully not only great designs, but also explore the trends happening in each.

So our question to you: have you recently designed a venue that would fit our December issue? Or are you working in these fields and have an opinion? Email us if so: sshoemaker@hdmag.com.

  1. Freshends ae an amenity that should be in every single health and wellness venue that does not provide Bidets for their guests. We know that dry toilet tissue just doesn’t provide the right cleaning system…Freshends does!
