As any of our HD Expo exhibitors know, booth design and prep is no joke. Starting in January, we were scheduling weekly phone calls with our HD team in Atlanta and Hilton Worldwide’s design team to start work on our HD Social Hub. But the planning has really been going on much longer than that.
We reached out to Hilton in the fall, asking them to be a part of our Social Hub. Indeed, we want booth #1955 to serve as both a respite from the show floor, a networking hub, a place to recharge, and a place to learn: we have talks and conversations scheduled throughout the show.
By December, the team at Hilton had conceptualized the design. And here we are, less than a month away with still so much to do but with everything coming together. Hilton’s design reflects its new lifestyle Canopy brand. Expect a natural palette (light wood, soft white hues) with pops of orange. We’ll also have a bar, so attendees can call the social hub their favorite watering hole as well. What’s more, we couldn’t do any of this without our sponsors: Ulster Carpets, Standard Textile, SpecCeramics, RH Contract, Gold Leaf Design Group, Kevin Barry Fine Art Associates, Raydoor, and Campania International.
The look and feel is only one way we’re enticing you to #1955 during the show. It will also be the place to hear NEWH Green Conversations on biophilic design; futuristic materials; smaller footprint trends; and detoxifying hotel interiors.
And stick around for our HD Conversations—30 minute conversations with industry experts, including Staci Patton of DLR Group, who will discuss what owner’s want; Glenn Wilson of Marriott talking about today’s traveler; and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts’ Dana Kalczak on what is luxury today.
Come for the gin and tonic, but stay for the informative sessions. We can’t wait to see you there!
